Vintage Vault: OBI 1005

Aviva's has been practicing Tea Ceremony for most of her life. It is a celebration of the seasons in the form of serving tea in a very specific manner. One may compare it to a triple black belt in Tea. The season is celebrated via flowers and Kimono worn for the occasion. As one can imagine in our house there are many, many kimono and obi - some were even made by my grandmother. Aviva opens up her ( and her mom's) textile vault for the first time to share some of her treasures. Please enjoy the kimono's hung,or displayed on the wall - the obi we often use as runners. We can even sew up the fabric into pillows for you. Just inquire within! We decided its best to share our beautiful journey with yours.

This one-of-a-kind treasure is from Aviva Stanoff’s archives which has been shared for the first time. As such, conditions may vary and may include slight imperfections and other beautiful signs of journey, and hints of their story “in the wild.We love that it will now become part of your journey as well.
