Market is about sharing, inspiring, and working together. It is the connection between maker and merchant. It’s a beautiful dance - we can’t live without each other. I refer to the collective group of all of us as a Design Tribe. Today, Currey and I invite you all to lunch. Let's chat about positivity and intention, underlying themes in all of my designs both in textiles, lighting, and anything we develop for the Home & Lifestyle market.

It's our shared love for the spirit of creativity that makes my collaboration with Currey delightful. In other words, they get me.  I show up to meetings without a PowerPoint presentation, but instead - literally - a bag of stuff: beads, crystals, tribal denim, and best part is that I don’t get in trouble!  They understand that I can’t always wear shoes - especially when public speaking - and that a glass of bubbly is always a gorgeous complement to any collection. Together we celebrate the authenticity behind craftsmanship, natural materials and the human touch. What started as a decorative garden business by Robert B. Currey in 1988 has evolved into a robust multi-generational home decor company, revered in the industry for Currey's loving attention to artisanal design. I’m launching a few new designs, inspired by mermaids and selenite.

It’s not public knowledge and I don’t speak about it very often...but my bestie is a mermaid. She’s quite bossy and makes me design for her all the time. After my Mermaid Pillow went viral, she’s gotten to be quite a diva. The Mermaid Collection celebrates my newfound endless summer lifestyle after moving from NYC to the west coast, representing my dreams and belief in magic. ‘Sides, my bestie and I need a super pretty place to perch our cocktails.

There is magic in communicating without words. You just feel it: the good vibes. That’s what selenite is for me. I keep a little selenite heart in my pocket when I speak in front of others or need a little extra je n’est c’est quoi. And according to mineral experts, selenite is like an insurance policy for good vibes. That’s really what they say! The positive energy found in your body and in your space expands with selenite. It is one of the most powerful crystals for removing negative energy.

Of course the real magic happened when the stars aligned and Currey found me in this big universe - my proof that the selenite is actually working.

Join the movement. Be surrounded by Light.

xoxo
